This policy explains what personal data QR Codes Generator (qrcodesgenerator.app) collects, why, and what you can do about it.

Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is Online TIMING s.r.o., registered address Vřesínská 20, 708 00 Ostrava, Czechia.

What we collect

Your account

• Your email address, and the time you signed up and last signed in.
• If you sign in with Google: the account identifier Google gives us and the email address it confirms. We do not receive your password or contacts.
• Your timezone for reports, and whether you agreed to receive product news.

Your QR codes

The content you enter (links, texts, contact details, menus and similar), the files you upload, the design of each code and its name. We store these to run your codes. Wi-Fi passwords for Wi-Fi codes stay in your browser and are never sent to us. Passwords for protected documents are stored only as a one-way hash.

Visits to your QR codes

When someone opens one of your dynamic codes, we record the time, device type, operating system, browser and country (provided by our network provider from the IP address). To estimate unique visitors, we combine the IP address and browser with a random value that changes every day and keep only the result, so visitors cannot be recognized across days. We do not store the visitor's IP address in these statistics. Known bots and link previews are filtered out.

How the site is used

To improve the generator, we record steps such as choosing a type, opening the design step or downloading a file, with the device type, browser family and language. These records never include what you type, your links, files or passwords. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the site does not send these records. Signing in, publishing a code and downloading a file are recorded by the server as part of providing the service.

Technical logs

Our servers keep short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the service secure and to investigate errors.

Cookies and browser storage

• A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• A short-lived cookie during sign-in with Google, which protects that step and expires after 10 minutes.
• Browser storage that keeps your unfinished QR code, so you can close the page and continue later.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Why we use your data

• To provide the service you asked for: your account, your codes, their pages and their statistics (performance of a contract).
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and improve it (our legitimate interests).
• To send product news, only if you opted in (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

Who processes data for us

• Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: servers and storage.
• Cloudflare, Inc.: network delivery and protection of the site.
• Resend: delivery of sign-in emails.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under safeguards required by the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

• Your account, codes, files and their statistics: until you delete them or your account.
• Unpublished drafts: 7 days after the last change.
• Records of how the site is used: 90 days; daily totals without personal details: 24 months.
• Records of administrator actions: 12 months.
• Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, its correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You can delete your account and all its codes yourself at any time; for other requests, write to mail@qrcodesgenerator.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz).

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell signed-in users.
